The incredible IPP37 International Puzzle Party

Mechanical Puzzle Event Update: Every year an annual gathering of mechanical puzzle collectors, designers and craftsmen occurs at a secret location worldwide. The event focuses on new developments in the design of puzzles as well as the trading and selling of puzzles, books, and other mechanical puzzle related things. The IPP or International Puzzle Party has been held annually since 1978 and moves locations in three-year cycles that take place in the U.S., Europe, and the Far East. This year’s 37th International Puzzle Party was held in Paris France from 4-6 August 2017. What a great city to visit. The venue for the festivities was the Paris Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel & Conference Centre.

This week we had the good fortune of attending world famous Puzzle Party. Our sincere thanks go to the organisers for arranging such a wonderful event and the hard work and dedication to establish and organise all of its associated excursions and events. During our attendance, we attended the world famous puzzle exchange, the puzzle party, observed and cast the final votes for the prestigious Puzzle Award Ceremony of the Nob Yoshigahara Puzzle Design competition. We had laughs, drinks, great food and made lifelong friendships. We look forward to sharing an update on the event with excitement soon and entries as well as the most awarded and best mechanical puzzles. But are also filled with sadness that we have left behind many good friends.

Thankfully we can do this all over again next year (fingers crossed) so we’re looking ahead to that.

Take a look at our haul to confuse OUR friends and family with at home.

Thank you for all the warm generosity of the designers and craftsmen for their gifts. Your gifts will join a library of puzzles we will be sharing over the coming months ahead for many, many people to enjoy. Happy Puzzling all! (^^)
